Sometimes I think I'm getting the hang of this...
Monday
was such an idyllic day. Samantha and I had to mail a package, so
we also stopped by the park and sat by the lake while Sam had her
bottle. We watched the ducks, which were only a little scary.
Not that one duck is scary, but this is one of those parks where
everyone feeds the ducks. When you sit down on a bench, they
waddle toward you en masse like little, quacking, avian zombies.
But I digress. We watched the ducks, saw a bald eagle soaring overhead, felt the wind in our hair, and relaxed. "This," I thought to myself, "is what I imagined it would be like to be a stay-at-home mom." I'm sure there will always be these tiny oases of calm in the midst of the chaos, but sometimes it's really hard to wait for them.
You know, I was planning to write about the rest of the week, but I feel so great after remembering Monday that I am going to leave it at that. Which probably says all you need to know about Tuesday - Friday.
We are going to visit Carl's mom and stepdad this weekend, so there will no doubt be plentiful pictures the first of the week.
Happy Friday!
