More Thanksgiving Photos

We had a really nice trip to Palmer and enjoyed the holidays with the Friddle/Mentzer side of the family.  I wanted to share a few more of the photos from the trip.  I think the most memorable thing about the whole holiday was Samantha's first Thanksgiving dinner.  The going strategy for me and my mommy friends was that we would share anything from the table that the baby seemed interested in.  To be perfectly honest, Samantha seemed interested in none of it, but I would not be deterred.  We all gathered round (Carl, Helen, Larry, Cal, Buck, Pam, and their three kids) and stared at poor Samantha as she tried one horrible thing after the next.  She liked NOTHING.  Not turkey, not sweet potatoes, not mashed potatoes, not broccoli/rice casserole made primarily of cheese, and certainly NOT gravy with black pepper.  She got a big fleck of pepper, we think, and started to cry hysterically, which ended the experiment.  That was the worst response.  The other foods were received as illustrated below.

Samantha really enjoyed a little time with Cal.  They really seem to connect.  Maybe it's all those late nights in the hospital???  THANK YOU, Papa!

Auntie Caroline never hesitates to talk to Baby Samantha on her own level.  Maybe that's why Samantha always smiles so much when she's around.palmer-4.jpg

Looks like Sam and Papa G weren't expecting the photo opp.  Papa G is the BEST about holding Sam no matter the hour.  Last visit, he even got up and hung out with us in the middle of the night.  What a cool granddad, huh?

As you can see, Samantha thinks Farmor is lots of fun.  She especially likes her sparkly jewelry.  Sorry about the broken necklace, Farmor.  Now we know what to buy for Christmas!palmer-1.jpg

They'll hate me for saying this... but don't they look right at home with a baby?  :-)
