My first Halloween

Grandma bought me 3 new Halloween outfits.  Mommy was so glad there were so many, because she still had to wash them in the middle of the day.  I just don't make neatness a priority.

Here I was going for a walk.  I have the special Halloween toy I got from the volunteers at the hospital a couple of weeks ago.  I had a really hard day that day.  It involved a lot of bleeding, and mommy felt bad.

Here I am hanging with Truffles the Pig.  Good times.

halloween2007-4.jpgOn Halloween morning, mom bundled me up and took me to the baby gym.  It was so chilly, she almost went to Old Navy and bought me a flannel penguin costume, but by noon it was 83 degrees.  Bummer.

On Halloween night, we sat out in the driveway, and I helped give candy to the boys and girls in the neighborhood.halloween2007-6.jpg

Samantha probably stopped a few hearts with her commentary. The bleeding at the hospital story is less scary than it sounds. She had to have blood drawn, and kept chewing on her bandage. I thought swallowing the bandage would be a bad thing, so I removed it. Too soon. Blood gushed EVERYWHERE. I panicked. I went dashing back to the blood lab screaming for help. Sam was covered in blood, I was covered in blood, and the tech was rolling his eyes. "Mom, didn't anyone tell you to put pressure on a wound to stop the bleeding?". C'mon, Carl was the boy scout, not me. Anyway, he had the bleeding stopped and both of us cleaned up in minutes, but the stuffed animal helped cheer us both up.
