Visit from Grandma and Grandpa

This is a long-overdue entry.  In late October (while I was re-doing the site), my parents came to visit.  Carl and I were planning to go to San Diego for a long weekend, but that plan was pre-empted by the wildfires out in California. 

That dildn't stop our quest for a good night's sleep, though.  Oh no.  We -- really, now -- spent the weekend at the Woodlands Waterway Marriott, about 20 minutes from the house (max).  It was a fantastic experience for everyone.  Samantha got some dedicated time with her grandparents without Mom (who tends to hover), and Carl and I got some dedicated time, too.

While we don't have pictures from the whole visit - since we were lounging on the Waterway - we did have an extensive photo session while Miss Samantha opened the presents Grandma and Grandpa brought.
